We lost all our connected devices

Most of our main electronics were plugged into this surge protector when we were struck by lightning. It was of no use. We lost our 50 inch TV, Nintendo Switch and surround sound stereo. An electrician who came to fix other lightning damage said those surge protectors were useless. Obviously he's right. We read about the $300,000 Belkin. Warranty, but from what we've read Belkin makes it very difficult to file a claim, so we decided to just file a claim with our homeowner's insurance company instead. If you're just looking for extra outlets, I'd suggest getting a cheaper power strip. If you're looking for something that protects against lightning strikes, you can forget about this power strip and probably any other. Our electrician recommended we buy a surge protector for everything in the home, which costs around $350, so we'll probably make our choice after doing a little research on a trusted brand. We certainly won't be buying expensive surge protectors again. At least this one was useless.
