I don't know about you but when I see the words 'leather scraps' for sale I always think of the tiny pieces that are so well chosen it's difficult to even some keys to make chains out of them. NOT THAT HERE! I was so happy to open large piece after large piece of very good leather. They even smell like real leather. All parts are approx. 1 mm thick and very soft. Judging by the thickness, quality and size of these 'cuts', I'm assuming very large pieces of leather are needed to make furniture? So what's too small to use is still big enough to even make clothes out of, if you get a little creative. The colors in what I received were mainly gray and brown. I also have a piece about 7 by 7 inches. It was the smallest piece but very useful as it was about 2mm thick and a bit stiff. Something between clothing leather and horse leather goods. This piece could probably even be used for processing. All leathers are smooth and polished and not with a "pimpled" surface like the skin of Eastern countries. I don't know exactly but they appear to be of the quality you would expect from American, British or German leather. Some imperfections were noted on the pieces, but all were very minor imperfections and they were all on the cut edge. Even if you don't want to use them, you won't lose much skin. I was nervous to read so many bad reviews about other leather suppliers on Revain. However, they seemed to have good reviews, so I made a trial purchase. I was so happy with what came out that I went straight away and bought more from them. I will not use anyone again, not in this capacity at this price!
