Review on πŸŽ₯ HAUPPAUGE HD PVR Pro 60: High Definition 4K Capture and Streaming Device with PC Connection - Perfect for Zoom, Skype, YouTube Live, and Twitch! by Viswanath Lopez

Revainrating 2 out of 5

No smooth 60 Hz recording. Frames are torn. Several per second.

Record smooth retro games like Super-C with 1 pixel per frame scrolling for crisp, stutter-free results. The old HD PVR 60 records them and plays them perfectly both on PC and when uploading to YouTube. But this HD PVR Pro 60 is not. Same game, same PC, same YouTube, same framerate, same bitrate, same movie format (MP4). HD PVR Pro 60 shows several choppy frames per second. Playing them frame by frame will show that all frames are there. Changing the bitrate and format of the movie doesn't fix anything. Why is the new Pro 60 not working while the old 60 is working fine? This product doesn't do what it's supposed to. All old retro games are 60 frames per second. All smooth action and racing games run at a stable 60 fps. The output from this device shows terrible variability. I'll try some more settings and let you know if I can get the product to do what it says it will. (Looks like the new Pro 60 is 59.92Hz and the old 60 is 60.0Hz for the same MP4 recording.) Minor annoyances: A green light means no action. Flashing green means recording. The old model simply changes color, which is easier to see and recognize, and doesn't require a flash wait delay. Please tell your UX designers to go back to perfect design. Blinking is not quickly interpreted and is a bad idea. He is no different. Pros: It records, is easy to set up, and the one-click button is a great idea. But the old HD PVR 60 already does all this.
