Review on TomTom 1AL5 019 00 GO 52 by Hanson Kendrick

This device doesn't work with my iPhone 8 I found out after days of trying to get it working. I called Tomt tech support twice with this issue. On the second call, the technician asked for my phone number. I told him iPhone 8 and he asked what software version I have on my phone. I said that I have the latest update 13.2.3. He then asked me if I could upgrade to Android or something and the device would probably work with that phone. I told him that of course I would not exchange the phone, but would simply return the device. He was also kind enough to email me explaining the issues with the iPhone not communicating with this device. The problem is that you have to download the Tomtom MyDrive app from the Apple App Store and then connect the MyDrive app to your Tomtom Go 52 via Bluetooth. Well, my phone connects to the device but the MyDrive app doesn't stay connected. In order to get traffic reports and other services provided by MyDrive app, it needs to be connected, so for me it's useless as I've been piling it up for traffic updates. It gets you where you want to go but without traffic information. I have since bought a Tomtom 1525tm and am hoping for the best lol.
