These night vision goggles felt very solid in my hands (maybe it was the 6 AA batteries I put in) and provided a very good image in low or no light conditions. They came onto my deck at night and later went into the woods behind my house. In both cases, I've been very happy with how well the night vision illuminates the dark and that you can also record or even take still photos of anything you're looking at. Mounting your glasses on a tripod will help stabilize your video or photos. These are not glasses/binoculars that put you right in front of your eyes, but rather a device that you hold 8 inches from your face and look into your field of view. Screen.
