I've been using these bags for about 2-3 months (about 700 bags?) and there was only one small leak. I'm not sure why others are reporting issues with leaks. I express my milk in Medela plastic bottles, place the Lansinoh storage bag in a large plastic cup so it stands upright, pour the milk into the bag and squeeze out as much air as possible before sealing the bag. To deflate, you can "roll" the bag over the edge of the countertop to squeeze the air out. I freeze the bags flat in a Tupperware container, stack the frozen bags in a gallon plastic bag to store them in any position, then thaw them with warm water when ready to use. I think removing the air can help prevent leaks/bursting and also keep the important nutrients in the milk by minimizing oxidation. I was very happy with these bags.
