Review on Samsung HW-N650 sound bar by Rimba

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

I listened to the Samsung HW-N550 soundbars (although the sellers said that this is the best soundbar in this price range. I realized by direct comparison with the N650 that it does not have such volume and crystal sound as this soundbar), Harman Kardon SB20 (there are almost no mids , excessive pressure tops that are not adjustable), Sony HT CT290, LG SK6F. This Samsung HW-N650 is the best in sound, with it the music flows like a river, you don’t want to turn it off, you want to listen and listen when other soundbars just sound good or good. Some write that there are not enough HDMI connectors - I don’t understand why they are needed at all, when the soundbar is connected to the TV via optics, the PS4 Pro is connected to the TV directly via HDMI and the sound always and everywhere goes through the soundbar. Why do you need HDMI on the soundbar when there is optics? I think this is a vestige from old soundbars.

Pros
  • 1. Very detailed sound at all frequencies (cool and low and medium and high). 2. Convenient remote control with a cool volume button (you should try this). 3. Standard modes for music, Surround for movies and Game for games (I have a PS4 Pro) which are really cool and I use them. 4. When you turn on the LG 55B8SLB TV, the soundbar automatically turns on. 5. Cool soundbar and subwoofer design.
Cons
  • 1. There is no normal strong carrying handle on the box - you have to carry it with two hands in a girth (in this regard, the Harman Kardon SB20 is great, you can carry it with one hand). 2. When switching between Standard, Surround and Game modes, the sound is muted for ~ 2 seconds. 3. There is a small black part on the power cable that constantly jumps up behind the table and when I want to push the soundbar forward, this thing clings to the back of the table. You have to crawl up and pull it out. 4. The subwoofer seems to play a little better on the Harman Kardon SB20 (deeper), here it is a bit too springy, but also very cool. 5. On the LG 55B8SLB TV, the soundbar does not turn off automatically when the TV is turned off (although I wrote in the TV settings that I have a Samsung soundbar), I have to press the shutdown button with the remote control (which is probably not necessary, but I do it). 6. The optical wire is short in the kit - if you want to carefully lay it through the cable channel, you may have to buy a long optical cable (I took a high-quality 3 meter braided cable for 850). 7. With a standard remote control from the LG Magic Remote TV, the sound is adjusted with an unpleasant delay (5 times slower than the remote control from the soundbar), if you want to quickly turn it down or add it, you have to use the remote control from the soundbar itself, because. it reacts almost instantly.
