I love that I can easily make kernels instead of microwave popcorn. However, this gadget still has room for improvement. (1) you have to bump really small batches to ensure that the majority? The cores burst, do not fill to the end as written. This means I have to make about 6 individual pops to fill my family for movie night rather than 2-3 microwavable packets. (2) Some kernels and popcorn will pop out during cooking and if you try to remove them right away they will be hot! I started putting a paper towel on the bottom of the microwave to catch flies and a towel on the popper to keep more popcorn in the popcorn (3) I prefer to use salt and oil/popcorn oil, but I prefer to use oil during of popping instead of waiting and spraying them after they pop. It doesn't work here, I tried adding some oil to see if it worked but all it did was pop even fewer cores than before. (4) Extraction time is highly variable, although the same number and type of cores are used each time, you have to control all the time, and even if you pay close attention you'll still end up with a lot more non-popped than most time popped.
