Works perfectly. Fit and finish could be better

Key worked great. I've heard that sometimes when using non-original flip-flop keys, the immobilizer chip in the key can be too far from the ignition, which can result in the immobilizer not working and you cannot start the car. In my case, the immobilizer works fine on my 2014 CR-Z. If that doesn't work for you, you can unsolder the immobilizer chip from the circuit board and place it in the small recess in the case. I had the key cut at a Honda dealer, they charged me $25. The ending is pretty mediocre. To get started, you'll need to reuse your plastic buttons and Honda logo. If one of them is scratched, broken or missing, this wrench will not fix it. Also, one of the screws is under the Honda logo. If your key fob battery is dead, you will need to remove the Honda logo and then re-stick it when you're done. Pretty bad design. The plastic feels normal. It doesn't fit that well, there is a 1mm gap between the part that holds the blade and the body. the whole blade also wobbles a bit and you can feel it. Also, I seem to be missing a bit of chrome trim. However, this is a great device for fidgeting.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not the best
