Good customer service

I bought this steam mop after a similar Hoover mop failed for the second time in three years. He made a "rat-tat" sound and stopped smoking. Exchanged once under warranty. So, this mop got good reviews and seemed easy. I opened the box, read the instructions and started using the steamer. Unfortunately, this also started the death sound "rat a tat". I called Bissell and they immediately accepted the information, said it was an unusual problem and agreed to replace it without hesitation. All I have to do is cut the cord and mail it to them. They even agreed to send a label for a free cable return. There seems to be a high rate of failure in home appliances these days. This is usually an electrical or electronic fault. (just replaced BOTH ice maker and compressor on a 2 year old LG fridge). But I am grateful for the support and manufacturers who replace defective products. As for the replacement, judging by the reviews, it will work fine.
