Review on 🎧 Sol Republic Amps Air 2.0: Waterproof Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds for Active Lifestyle by Bricyan Krzywicki

Revainrating 4 out of 5

An unfortunate step backwards from the previous model and almost ruined sound

I was excited to see they were available in Sol Republic. I had the first model and used it every day for commuting. They lasted about 3 hours and allowed each kidney to be used in monoform. The bass hit HARD and they sounded great. Enter version 2.0, which fixes the first series' moisture issues and causes the speaker to die prematurely, and also fixes connection issues. it worked fine but for a long time. Next up was the sound. CALM…. I had to turn the volume up to 60% to hear anything, otherwise polite conversation could drown me out. At full power? Maybe 50% of the previous Sol Republic Amp Air 1.0. It's a deal breaker, no booming bass and low volume. This is very noticeable and makes me give up on them. Finally, the MONO pair is gone, only the left earbud can be used alone, not both. It's awful for people who use it with an open mind, like they're in the office. That means if it dies, you'll have to wait for it to recharge instead of swapping them out. It's a terrible decision. Avoid.

Pros
  • PREMIUM SOUND: These Sol Republic Amp Air in-ear headphones deliver a rich and full sound that transports you straight to the source. These wireless earbuds fit each ear independently, so you're not limited.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
