Review on Air-Stirrup Ankle Support Brace By Aircast: Optimal Support For Ankle Injuries by Ryan Cross

Having fractured my fibula just above the ankle, I was relegated to a walking cast type boot while the fracture healed. As my job requires standing on my feet for hours at a time - that was not the most comfortable alternative - and the difference in height related to my other leg with a standard shoe caused back problems. The Aircast Air-Stirrup Ankle Brace allowed me to wear a standard shoe while providing the support I needed for the fracture to heal. It also eliminated my back problems. I would recommend it to anyone where strong support for long periods of time is critical. As a note - always wear a sock or stocking to avoid skin irritation.
