I love this sewing machine. I've been sewing for almost 55 years and I've always had singers. But the cars I've bought over the past 20 years have been a total disappointment. From day one I only had problems with the singers. After reading numerous reviews, I bet on the Janome 3160 QDC. This machine is so easy to set up and ready to use. I've been making Covid-19 masks since the day they arrived. It was so nice to sit down to sew and not have any complications from a faulty machine. For the past several years, I have been afraid of sewing and have always enjoyed it. To take a piece of cloth and create something very useful, but it lost its appeal because of the gear I was using. As we are in quarantine I am really looking forward to sitting down and sewing after my distance learning assignments are complete. Now I have a hard time putting it off until the evening. I can't wait to try the quilt kit. I love the fact that the Janome has a metal inner frame, metal gears, and an overall construction that just feels a lot more reassuring than the mostly plastic Singer. This company believes in their craftsmanship so much that they back you with a 25-year guarantee you'll never see again. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced seamstress, I highly recommend this sewing machine.
