Great idea, easy setup

I read about this product and decided to try it. Out of the box, these are fairly simple instructions that are easy to understand. I wired them up in minutes. I played the VHS tape and noticed a lot of jittery noises and blue screens. Checked OK connections, rewound - same problems. I wrote a letter to technical support. They replied to me quickly and through a series of questions and answers via email it was established that it was a VHS tape which was actually a "joke" the store bought tapes worked perfectly. I copied an entire movie onto a memory card, but then the recorder no longer recognized the VCR. Again a series of questions and answers via email with the friendly tech support staff but the problem persisted. I replaced the "RCA" cables, VCR and cleaned the connectors on the VCR with denatured alcohol to remove any dirt that might have built up on them, I even bought a new "RCA" cable BUT the problem persisted. Technical support sent me a new device without my knowledge, unfortunately the problem could not be solved. Finally, I believe the problem is most likely with my VCRs. I have returned both devices, one to tech support and one to Revain for a refund until I decide what to do. I can say that - I LOVE THE PRODUCT, THE EASIEST TRANSFER I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH AND THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT I HAVE TO HELP. When (if) I get a newer VCR I will return to this product.
