Review on πŸš— Enhance Your Car Safety with the BW 7 Inch TFT LCD Digital Rear View Monitor and Waterproof Camera Combo by Anferny Pineda

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to set up, very good, but the camera works at 90 degrees.

I agree the "instructions" went bad on this reversing kit. I wanted to set this system to turn on and off manually using a 5 unit toggle switch I bought in China from Deals Extreme at: grounded to a long wire male cigarette lighter that is available at Radio Shack Bought for about $9 as it had to come to me mug. I added enough length using a black 110 volt lamp cord (bought at a hardware store). I don't need the blue wire that connects to the camera circuitry, but for those who want to know, it's the wire that acts as a "switch" that you connect to any positive wire of any circuit that turns on when you're, say, reversing. It turns on the rear camera circuit. But I cut it off so nothing interferes. I then connected the camera's video line to the monitor's video line. I installed the camera on my sun visor using this "bonding" found here: [.] and connected the camera cables to circuit 2 for 1 female cigarette and did the same for the monitor cable and connected 2 to 1 to my toggle switch block 5 then did I powered the monitor the same way I powered the camera: red to plus, black to ground. Please note that I have already connected the camera to the monitor using RCA video connectors. Oh, and by the way, anyone who says the length or quality of the video cable isn't very good is wrong. Works great the first time and every time thereafter. Works great. with one caveat. The camera is not wide enough. I rate it at 90 degrees which even at van height (my van) doesn't give enough angle to see the full width of the rear even when mounted on top of my van looking down. That's why I only give 4 and not 5 stars.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Doubtful
