More than I expected. I plan to use it on my next trips. *UPDATE: Previously traveled July 18-22 to carry things between appointments. When I got home I don't know how many times the handles came out of holes and fell off my shoulder. When I got home, I mostly used a strap and held the bag in my hand. Of course it helped me get through my trip, it was completely "unbearable" when I got back home.
