Review on πŸ” Siglent Technologies SDM3055 5.5 Digit Digital Multimeter in White and Grey by Joseph Hamilton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

good quality, good features, great price

Watch the review and teardown video before you decide! If you *really need* a well-known brand, don't even think about it, just throw out your wallet and buy something like the Keysight 34450A, the Fluke 8808A, or the Keithley 2110. Price. I've never needed a meter with this level of accuracy before, or if I have, my employer has provided me with one, but the project I'm consulting on now requires more accuracy than my Fluke 115 or the old B&K 2945 handheld meter. I don't want to spend money on a big brand just to have it gather dust on the shelf after the project is complete. The feedback on this device is mostly positive. The only alternative I saw in this price range was the Rigol DM3058, but Siglent's large color graphic display won me over. The only real downside I've noticed so far is that it takes 15 seconds for the low range reading to fully stabilize. Dismantling on EEVblog #829
