The spring pins are much harder than they should be. I fought for two hours and I have watch tools and a watch vise. After a site immediately snapped on, I began to wonder what everyone here is complaining about. I tried connecting the other side, the one with the "speaker groove". Like I said, two hours later I'm still nowhere near making the mount. I disassembled the tape for better access. In the end one of the "nail tongues" broke. It was the last straw. I wanted to return it. But, you know what? I couldn't see the assembled side! I looked at the original tape that I replaced. I removed the single sided spring pin from the original strap and installed it in the new strap (remember one of the tabs broke off). Five seconds later I was done.
