Kool Kooshion comfort products continue to decline in quality - no longer worth buying.1. Sometime in the 2000s, they switched to using a fast-wearing, thin, weak, black "fabric" on one side, rather than the same rugged, low-thread-count, high-breathability, open-weave fabric as before. have been made for decades. This makes the cushion irreversible. At best, a pillow lasts about HALF its useful life; without even considering how quickly the thin black material now used on one side is beginning to diverge.2. Status 2018. The last case in favor of USELESS is the use of CLOSED WEAVE fabric on the top, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PURPOSE OF THE PILLOW! It must be a VENTED pillow! See photos of seat side stock from 2018 and Kool Kooshion purchased in 2017. The weave of the 2017 seat top material was still close enough to the material that had been used since I started buying ventilated seat cushions in the late 1960's. The 2017 face fabric has about 3/32" holes, the 2018 fabric has a closed weave - NO vents, which defeats the purpose of the pillow. The blue fabric pictured is the 2017 face fabric, the black is the 2018 side face fabric. The rule shown in the photos is inches in 1/16" divisions.3. The fabric is now PAPER! Paper thread can't hold up as well as nylon or polyester. Even cotton fabric with 6 or 8 cord thread (T 400 or 600) is better than PAPER!4 Thankfully the inner wire frame still seems fine, but I will NOT be buying Comfort Products Kool Kooshions again unless they start making nylon or polyester weave pillows with an open one again WEAVE CONSTRUCTION THAT ALLOWS VENTILATION as shown in photo 2017. Fabric - on both sides of the pillow - as they should be and have been made by any manufacturer who cares about quality and customer satisfaction k cares. Revain will not accept feedback with less than one star.
