As for the branding test; Is this genuine leather. and does not smell like branded leather. The brand test is the best way to determine the authenticity of a leather item and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The band finish is a solid finish. I did a deep scratch test with a sharp wire and the finish retained its colour, meaning any dyes used to finish the leather seeped into the leather itself. This means that over time, as it wears down, it will retain its color longer and wear out longer.
