Review on 🔋 BISSELL PowerEdge Silver Cordless Vacuum by Brian Page

First of all I would like to say that I am a big Bissell fan. Although I have many reservations about this. What I like is that it's very manoeuvrable, lying almost flat and able to crawl under a lot of furniture. It's wireless, so you can take it anywhere without a power outlet. Cleans hard floors very well. The rotating spring brushes, like on my Roomba, work great in small corners and around furniture legs, they rotate inward and direct dirt straight into the suction unit, a brilliant addition that works incredibly well. I also like that it's quiet here. But......What I don't like is that it has some serious limitations. It has a very short loading time. When fully charged, I can only use about a third of my basement, which is about 1500 square meters. ft. hard floors and carpets. So about 500 square meters. Feet on a single load is not that much. This brings me to my other issue, which is that there's no external battery, meaning you can't keep a second battery waiting when the battery runs low. You have to connect the cable to this device and wait for the internal battery to charge what time do you have for this? When the battery finally fails, it's a dump. In my experience, with internal battery vacuums, if you're lucky, you'll have a year or two before they fail. The power cord is easy to connect only with a wall bracket, without it the hole is under the back panel and very difficult to access. I also really hated how devastating it was. In my wired Bissell, all you have to do is press a button and the base folds down with a hinged lid. In this case you have to physically pull the entire lid and guts out of the canister, it is not hinged and dirt is flying all over the place, very messy to empty, you have to do it outside to avoid dust rain! The canister lid is a PIA so it can be put back on and it's also difficult to put the unit back on. You have to tip it forward trying to get the bottom into a small slot and fold it back to latch without good lighting can't do it. and your glasses and a PIA like that. Another important caveat is that this only applies to hard floors. If it's just walking across the mat, you'll hear the motor slow down, which will quickly drain the battery. It doesn't have a beater, it's felt material on wheels, so it's only really good for hard floors. The pen brushes work great, you get a second set and for good reason they don't last long. After three uses, mine was already looking pretty unkempt, so plan to stock up on angled brushes. So here it is. Would I recommend this vacuum cleaner, NO. It's actually the first Bissell I've ever had, which pissed me off immediately. If I paid for it I would probably return it. If you live in a 600-square-foot New York-style apartment with all hard floors, then this is for you and you'll probably love it, but you'll still have to take it outside to empty it. For any other situation I would say keep looking.
