I use this and a fine grit folding file to sharpen a variety of drill bits as well as router bits. The thin metal substrate is strong enough to take some pressure without deforming. All DMT diamond products will last longer if wetted with water during use. Use the bartender's friend and a fine toothbrush to clean them. Very long winded. No need to press hard on diamond abrasive - it's easy.
