The angle adjustment is alot more sturdy than you would assume.
I have a fairly heavy phone and i figured that this would not be able to hold an exact angle with the device being so heavy. after getting the product and trying it i was surprised to find it even supported my tablet. it seems to hold the angle well. even if i bump the table pretty hard it's not changing angle the phone may fall out of the holder though.
