Review on Timex T715BW3 Alarm Clock Radio by Shannon Brown

Battery level indicator keeps flashing after 2 battery changes

Agree with other reviewers, radio reception is not the best, although I followed the guide by lengthening the antenna cable. But I don't need a radio and I bought this clock which is based on the same alarm clock my husband uses and it had the features I wanted. Double alarms, automatic update for daylight saving time, etc. The first day it worked perfectly, then the second day the "Low Battery" light started flashing, even though it has been connected to the "Live" and not the wall since installation was socket. Serious?. Battery damage after just one day? Was it a repackaged, previously used item with a mostly dead battery? Doesn't appear to have scratches on the plastic surface or anywhere else to indicate previous use. So I replaced the battery that came with the watch with the same one from WalMart, and yes, it was installed with the correct + side up, just as the manual said. The low battery indicator is still flashing. Okay, maybe just old batteries from WalMart, so we bought an $8 battery at Radio Shack. The low battery indicator is still flashing. There is nothing in the manual that discusses the reason/solution for why the low battery indicator keeps flashing after replacing the batteries. So I think it's the radio and not the batteries. Although I've only had it two days I'm coming back for this issue, I haven't had it long enough to have similar issues that other reviewers have had. I'm glad it was a "Prime" item.
