Three rides in these gloves and while they aren't perfect they are a SIGNIFICANT improvement over gloves alone. I have very long thin fingers so it's almost impossible to find suitable gloves. Men's plus sizes are often too short on my fingers, too, but they're so big my hands just float in them - and all the volume tends to choke my circulation, which makes matters worse. Also, I have "problems" with cold fingers - when they get cold the blood just stops circulating or something, so no insulation helps. This allows me to wear thinner gloves that really fit and don't affect circulation. So far I've worn them into my late 30's and they've stayed nice and warm. Today I added one of these chemical hand warmers to each one to create a nice little "microclimate" that is helping my finger "problems" tremendously. I only have two complaints. First, some air comes through the holes, so the back of my hand gets a little colder. On the advice of other posters I went with the large size, so maybe medium or small would make this less of an issue? I'm thinking of putting some sort of "puff" or something around my wrists to keep cold air out. I'll look ridiculous, but who cares! Or maybe if I keep looking I'll find slightly thicker gloves that will help as well. The second issue is that my lantern is now positioned between two pole gloves, making it virtually invisible from the side. So I'm just trying to figure out if I can get some snap on LEDs or something to attach to the outside after dark to make sure I'm ok and visible to turning vehicles. Anyone have any suggestions?
