42.5 " model failed basic antenna test
I bought this for my backup Baofeng GT-30 and possibly my GMRS radios. I put it in my Agilent network analyzer and it didn't work at all. "On the 2M and 70cm bands the SWR was high. It's not tuned to those bands. It's bad enough that I don't even bother with Rx/Tx testing. It's just not worth lugging around." I was hoping for a solid long range." The antenna for my HT is not the right one. It's just bad enough, but folding it makes it worse.
