Bought to replace two 22' x 24' twin tube 40" fluorescent lights in a garage. The ballasts in the old lights have been changed twice in 30 years and have failed again so I went on a quest made for an alternative. Had to install 4" boxes on ceiling rafters before connecting porcelain lamp sockets to accommodate LED garage lights. I am not a professional electrician and the whole process took about 1.5 hours mainly due to accessibility issues. The amount of light, these devices emit exceeds that of fluorescent lights when they are working properly.And they exceed my expectations for light output.If they last half the time specified by the manufacturer, they last longer than older fluorescent lights.
