It glides very well on the carpet.
They're hard to put on, which is a good thing, otherwise they'd keep falling off. They are perfect for sliding kitchen chairs in and out on my kitchen rug. I've been wearing them for about two months now and they fall off, but almost never. We have chairs with legs that taper at the base of the leg and curve at an angle, they work great in both situations and can conform well to the chair leg.
