May or may not work for your application

The unit looks good, is well made and has some sort of nifty rubber boot to protect the part that plugs into the headphone/mic jack when it's not plugged in . Pretty neat. The good news is that it worked perfectly in my 2019 iPad Air model! Plugged in, turned off bluetooth and recorded a video with me. There was no sound. The bad news is that I actually bought it for my work laptop, which is the latest Dell model running Windows 10 Pro. I recorded a video of my conversation and it completely ignored the product and picked up my voice as if it wasn't there. Then it occurred to me that I hadn't turned off Bluetooth on the PC like I did on the iPad, so I did and tried again. He still recorded my voice. If you buy one, maybe just buy one and test it on your devices. Then decide to return it, keep it, or buy more. Just remember that even if the default camera app on your device is muted by that device, that doesn't guarantee malware won't ignore it and still be listening. For seven bucks I decided to keep it just in case. I'll find a reason to use it later.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
