Real fool! fits Corers & Pitters

I read all the negative reviews and didn't follow their advice. I should. I wanted to like it so bad. I used OXO Good Grips apple core and had trouble getting the apple core out. In addition, the stem bends after a short time. Goodbye. I was hoping that this device would be an improvement. It's not like this. The apple is cut by pushing the stalk into the apple, which is a round metal object with serrated teeth on the underside. Two round pieces of metal separated and no longer met at the bottom. The teeth on the underside of the punch buckled and no longer cut cleanly into the apple, causing the inside of the apple to turn light brown within minutes. The pin attaching the handle to the handle fell off, and it was a fatal blow. This happened after a few months of use. But the first few times I used it, it was great. Don't buy it, it's real crap.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Very expensive
