I recently bought a used Dyson Cinetic Animal vacuum and all the ball housings were worn, cracked and in poor cosmetic condition. This was the only screw that allowed the sphere body to be removed and replaced and repaired to appear in the best condition. A new screw was included. The ball shells are real and made in Malaysia.
