I work in a laundry that mainly makes table linens, cloth napkins, bar towels, chef shirts, tablecloths, tablecloths, aprons and shop clothes. I need gloves, one as a barrier to bad food, mold and whatever people spit into their pockets, and two to keep my hands from chafing into moisture, the equivalent of an 8 hour carpet burn on my fingertips. I'm sure most of you have washed a few towels at home and know how they stick to the sides of the machine when you spin and how difficult it is for your fingers to pull them out. Imagine an industrial size machine unloading over 700 pounds of bar towels 8 times per shift. Needless to say, a good piece of gloves is essential! My work gives us these knit gloves with rubber studs on them and they work now, but if they last a week you're in luck. Well they ran out and I was without gloves for over a week and decided to just buy some. I chose these because of the price. $7.99 just to test and see how they hold up and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I was concerned because I didn't think the spandex on the sides of the fingers would stand up to the rough bar towels, but so far so good. Hardly any wear after 3 weeks. I will definitely buy these gloves again. To give you an idea of the quality, this is my colleague's fourth pair of work gloves since I received these CLCs!
