Review on Triple Scale Hydrometer - Optimal Home Brewing Hydrometer for Beer and Wine by John Brazington

I ordered this to replace my trusty old hydrometer which broke for me over 20 years. Both the hydrometer originally ordered and the subsequent replacement showed a value of 0.002 in distilled water that was too low. I checked on my spectrometer. Thus, while consistent, it is not calibrated. For those ordering you should also be aware that the tube it comes in has loose ends on both ends and with foam protection it will easily come loose and potentially result in this very fragile tool falls down. I recommend taping or taping off one end of the tubing.
