It took me longer to open the box than to install it, so maybe two minutes max total. One cable to the extension cable, the other to the USB port, plug in both drives and then let Windows find them. That's all. My only minor complaint is that the plastic cover that comes with the box has a small sticker saying it's a dust cap, but the cover isn't deep enough to put the discs on it, so it is it just a cover when the shell is empty. . I'll be using it all the time so I need to figure out the best way to protect it from dust. But I don't deduct any points for that; I knew this was going to be a problem and went with it because it's inexpensive and incredibly easy. I'm transferring material from an old computer and it will come in very handy.
