Review on Building Pieces πŸ’ for Monkeys - Learning Resources by Vince Dickey

Difficult but fun

I love this toy! That being said, it's a bit tricky to assemble if you want to follow the instructions. Incidentally, directions are sometimes hard to see (colors are a bit hard to see). Also, there were some inconsistencies that I ended up having to fix just before finalizing the design. I have a five year old girl and had to set up most things myself. She would play with the pieces, but the overall large design was out of her reach. However, she doesn't care and has fun with her whether she is in full form or not. As for me, a former teacher, I'm excited about the potential educational lessons this toy can teach. On the one hand, it is good for flowers with small children. And then, with guidance, the child could really be practicing the basics of physics as it shows them the whole concept of a mechanism, not to mention the motion that causes their cooperation. However, I don't think it's educational without adult guidance. That doesn't mean it can't be fun as my daughter only likes it for the monkeys!
