Review on Sony INZONE Gaming Monitor Dimming 27", 144Hz, HDR, SDMU27M90, HD by Noah Dunlap

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing picture quality!

I've wanted to switch from 1080P 144Hz for a long time and when I saw this I had to try it. Firstly, no cables other than power cables are supplied. Some other reviews have given it lower stars for this, but it makes perfect sense to me; Phones are now doing this with charging boxes to keep the price down etc. Also I already have cables so I don't think this is a problem. That's over now, let's move on to the monitor itself. Needed a screwdriver to assemble the stand. Not a big deal but wanted to point that out. Cool stand with adjustable height, as you would expect from a monitor in this price range. The picture quality is just fantastic! As I said, I switched from 1080P to 4K and this monitor just blew my mind with the detail! It's bright with no lag or tearing! I've used it for my Google TV, Steam Deck and Gaming PC and have always been amazed at how much better it is than my previous setup! The specs of this monitor are also amazing; Of all my searches, this one checked almost every box: 4K, 144Hz, 1ms response, and Nvidia. The only feature that could be improved was that Nvidia doesn't have a dedicated chip, which I'm fine with. It also has built-in KVM, which is great for easily switching between my work and home environments. The audio on this monitor is ok but I don't normally use the audio straight from the monitor so this is not a problem for me. All in all, this monitor is amazing! I highly recommend it, especially if you're looking to upgrade to 4K. Sony does a great job with quality and this is no exception!
