Review on Resolution Scanner Converts 135Slides Negatives by James Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A simple scanner but amazing results

The scanner (model M122A) arrived quickly and produces stunning digital images. I scanned about 200 Kodachrome color slides from 50 years ago. At 8 MP, the scanner produces images of 3500 x 2332 pixels with an average size of around 1.5 MB. There is a resolution setting of 16MP (8MP CMOS sensor), but the 8MP setting is perfect for my purposes.

Pros
  • Fast speed: touch operation takes only 1-2 seconds, battery life, no computer required. No need to warm up, calibrate or pass the scan head, scans 35mm and 135mm negatives/slides and scans 3 1/2 x 5", 4 x 6" and 5 x 7" photos, 2.4 inch color screen compatible with Mac and PC
Cons
  • not reliable
