This is the best fryer I have ever owned. It's pretty heavy, but I love it! The floor heats up evenly, thanks to which there are no hot spots and burns. The handles are oversized so you can easily grab them with oven mitts. They are additionally reinforced with rivets. The corners are rounded to prevent food from sticking. Sized to easily roast a prime rib or whole turkey under 10 pounds, roast lamb, etc. The grate is also heavy. It sits on the base without swaying. It's coated with a thick substance that makes it non-sticky. Cleanup is pretty easy! I seasoned the pan before using it by rubbing vegetable oil all over the inside and popping it in the 350* oven for 15 minutes. This pan is made to last. But it's a one-time thing and you never have to replace it. It's worth it!
