I was very excited to try these toothbrushes. And in the end I was very disappointed. The first day I used them I brushed as usual and my teeth hurt like CRAZY all day. Also, my gums bled profusely when I brushed my teeth, which is very unusual. The second time I noticed something about the stubble. They're like thin little needles. Edge sharpened, not clipped. So I cut them off and was very careful when brushing, but my teeth still hurt and my gums bled. I felt the bristles dig into my gums like little needles. The third time I cut them off again to make sure they were completely blunt on the ends. It helped a bit - enough for me to keep using it while waiting for another brand to ship - but brushing still hurts. The bristles themselves are too small - they still act like needles when brushing. Blunt needles after trimming, but needles nonetheless.
