I've looked at reviews of all brands and types of fenders and had very low expectations for these fenders because they look so short. I thought their length is so short how will they actually protect your face from mud sand mud etc.? The main reason I chose them was because someone in a review said they also protect the fork seals and that was a good excuse for me even if I was still going to get sand and dirt on my face. Surprisingly, these fenders actually cover about 70% of the dirt, sand, grime, etc that gets on your face. Yes, you'll still get some dirt, sand, dirt. in the face, but (at least in my case) nothing compared to before without it, and it also protects the fork seals that are so perfect for me. Of the 2 pieces that come with the kit, I installed one on a freeride mtb and the other on a speed mtb. Works great on both bikes. The installation is very easy. The zippers are good too. A very happy customer here.
