They only make small batches so they have absolute control. Along with Lady Forbes, Mr. Andrew French and his wife Judy founded the brand in response to his failure to find a shaving cream that met his standards. The resulting cream has a very dense texture and lasts for a very long time. It may seem expensive, but the benefit you get makes up for the price well. The high quality shows after the shave - your skin will be softer and smoother for many hours. Use it regularly and your face will reward you, as will your loved ones. As with any manufacturer, you are more likely to get a quick response to a product inquiry from your vendor of choice. However, I recently exchanged emails with Mr. French and found him to be absolutely committed to customer satisfaction. Despite his busy schedule, he was generous and diligent in answering my question about the product's features. Given that he would most likely be hosting a show at Saks 5th Avenue or running a Scottish peer company, I found the time he spent with a client to be exceptional.
