I bought this as a cheaper way to mount my computer as I was using a cockpit upgrade with a 35mm rod and rod combo. My old 31.8mm K-Edge front mount couldn't clamp those thick bars, and I didn't want to spend $50-$75 on a new one. The quality of the bracket looks very solid and well made from CNC machine. Aluminum. Very easy to install in place of your top cap. As for other reviewers giving 1 star for breaking Garmin cleat plastics due to your torso hitting the handlebars or your knees banging into the headset or stem when pedaling. Kill me. It's not the binding, it's because the rider fell on it (not the binding's fault) or the bike doesn't fit properly or badly (because his knees hit him, again not the binding). If you go over the bars and accidentally break your Garmin on the way up, I think there are other issues to deal with. Works best with a flat-top countersunk screw that sits flush with the base of the mount, allowing the Garmin base to attach. The cap sits a little higher. So keep in mind that if the star nut is set fairly deep in your fork, you may need a longer bolt. I'm really happy to pay a fraction of the cost of this mount over the K-Edge branded version.
