The item itself is not bad, the aluminum part is well made and fits my MTB stem snugly. It is designed for hex or pan head screws and I was able to reuse the one that came with my bike (pan head). Bought less than a week ago. On my first and only ride with it, a chain broke (uphill). Didn't fall but hit the Garmin in the stomach breaking the stem mount and (unfortunately) one of the tabs on my Garmin (see photo). In the last 10 years, two plastic GPS mounts in front of the handlebars broke when I was mountain biking. In both cases, the mounts failed by design (to protect the Garmin eyelets). I bought this as a cheaper way to mount my computer as I was using a cockpit upgrade with a 35mm rod and rod combo. My old 31.8mm K-Edge front mount couldn't clamp those thick bars, and I didn't want to spend $50-$75 on a new one. The quality of the bracket looks very solid and well made from CNC machine.
