It is not possible to open the doors when the product is locked.
Once the bracket is screwed on, you cannot open the door. If, like me, you try to open the door, there will be a very large scratch on the top of the door. Bought these to avoid damaging the paint to add a slight stripe. Now I've damaged my paintwork and I still can't install the lightbar unless I want to get in my Jeep like Beau Duke. Worse than a useless product.
