Terrible: Probably a quality control issue

I found the price of a 10" cut-off wheel to be pretty low, but I figured a cut-off wheel is a cut-off wheel - how can they screw it up? the shaft hole is so far from the center that it can't be used like that. When I spin it on the saw it shakes the whole table. The blade wanders over the entire workpiece and the entire saw trembles. That's when I noticed. about an eighth of an inch! No wonder it vibrates so much! making a blade with an off-center hole I would notice immediately upon visual inspection. But since I never dreamed that they could make a blade with such a defect, it never occurred to me to check. I think this is likely This does not apply to all blades sold from this lot. So if you get one where the hole isn't off center it should work just fine. The problem is that I didn't actually get to use the blade until it was too late to send it back, so I basically had to eat up the purchase price. When you receive it, check it carefully and apply it immediately. As long as it doesn't vibrate too much, you should be fine. If not, you have time to send it back. I think if you just replace it, the replacement will probably be fine.

  • Few competitors
Cons
