Good for intended use.

All complaints come from people who don't understand antennas and/or radios. This antenna serves its purpose very well. This is a small short antenna designed for better spacing. And because it's small, it doesn't work like a regular whip antenna. It works similar to the factory rubber ducky antenna that comes with a dueling range handheld radio. It gives me the same performance as a factory UV5R rubber ducky. If I stood in front of the car with the UV5R. Let's use a little together from here on out. You don't use a teaspoon instead of a ladle. So why would you expect to use this short antenna instead of a good whip antenna? I bought this antenna for use in my off-road setup. Lest my good whip antenna catch all the branches of the trees going down the narrow paths. And so I was able to communicate with other people I was traveling with. He makes it perfect. If I need to reach someone further, I know I have to replace it with my good whip antenna. This is intended for short distances only. These are not rocket surgery people. Regarding CB's comments. Other countries use VHF as CB radios. And it is no longer marked as a CB antenna. Not to mention that the advertised frequency falls far short of the US CB band. Again, ignorance of antennas and walkie-talkies.

Pros
  • Frequency range: VHF 136-174MHz, UHF 400-470MHz;
Cons
  • boring packaging
