The bad news. The signal is worse than that of a rubber duck

I'm a radio amateur and I wanted to upgrade the cellphones in my truck but it was a complete failure. I had two problems. Firstly it's a terrible antenna, the standard duck gave the best signal. Second, this mount is *not* universal. It might work on some vehicles, but the 1999 Tahoe is way too big a truck for this small car. At least it was easy to come back!

Pros
  • Frequency range: VHF 136-174MHz, UHF 400-470MHz;
Cons
  • Hard to say

Attention! Although the store page says "CB" in the title. THIS IS NOT A CB ANTENNA, for radio amateur use only. I spent $$ in 2 different places to set it up for my new CB. I had to buy a completely new antenna system for this. And yes, the return time is already over, so yeah, $$ down the drain. Very nice antenna but not for CB as they claim so 3 stars for lies.

Pros
  • Feature: Lip Mount Mount;
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Better than expected range

I replaced the lip mount on the antenna with a magnet I had at home so I could just pop it in my car or transfer it from one car to another. I plan to throw this in my motorcycle saddlebag. I can reach local (10-25 miles) repeaters with qyt 8900 and I suspect I can get more depending on conditions and location. I like it so much I'm considering buying another one as a spare in case I forget to put it in the car and some hooligan starts cleaning it.

Pros
  • Antenna Interface Connector: UHF PL259 50 ohm male; Antenna Connector: UHF SO239 corner panel jack, 50 ohm connector; Cable connector: UHF PL259, male, 50 ohms; Cable: RG58 50ohm coaxial cable; Length: 5m;
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Didn't think it would work. Was Right

I bought this to use with my VHF radio (my department uses frequencies in the 155-160MHz range) because I wanted a low profile antenna for my new truck. I didn't think it would work but for the price I decided to give it a try. Well I was right, set up the antenna, hooked it up to the walkie talkie, set the local NOAA weather (162.525) and. Nothing. Switched to a regular whip antenna. Loud and clear. Switched back to Bingfu and nothing. I don't know about the 400-470 band, but DO NOT SPEND TIME

Pros
  • Package List: 1 x Antenna, 1 x Cable, 1 x Mounting Bracket (including hex wrench) (as shown)
Cons
  • Available in Black only

Good for intended use.

All complaints come from people who don't understand antennas and/or radios. This antenna serves its purpose very well. This is a small short antenna designed for better spacing. And because it's small, it doesn't work like a regular whip antenna. It works similar to the factory rubber ducky antenna that comes with a dueling range handheld radio. It gives me the same performance as a factory UV5R rubber ducky. If I stood in front of the car with the UV5R. Let's use a little together from hereโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Frequency range: VHF 136-174MHz, UHF 400-470MHz;
Cons
  • boring packaging
