I bought this to use with my VHF radio (my department uses frequencies in the 155-160MHz range) because I wanted a low profile antenna for my new truck. I didn't think it would work but for the price I decided to give it a try. Well I was right, set up the antenna, hooked it up to the walkie talkie, set the local NOAA weather (162.525) and. Nothing. Switched to a regular whip antenna. Loud and clear. Switched back to Bingfu and nothing. I don't know about the 400-470 band, but DO NOT SPEND TIME WITH THIS ANTENNA ON 136-174MHz.
