Review on Manhattan 172851: Audio Speaker and Headset Switching Hub by Erin Lowe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great, no loss of sound quality and another little bonus.

I bought this because the headphone jack on my computer was broken and I didn't want to buy a new case or climb behind the tower every time I want to use headphones. Works perfectly! Plug it into the back of your computer and switch between two outputs (one for speakers, one for headphones) with the push of a button. There is absolutely no loss of sound quality when switching. It even has a volume control, which I don't necessarily find useful since I control the volume with the operating system, but some might like this feature. As a bonus, it even comes with self-adhesive Velcro. It's really a small thing, but assembling the device is something a lot of people might not think about when they buy it, so it's nice that they included it. I mounted it in the corner of my desk so it's not visible, but it's really easy to access. 5 Stars! UPDATE: It's been 2 years and the device is showing the first signs of use. It still works well, but adjusting the volume often causes the audio to break up a bit, and I have to fiddle with it to get it clear again. It's not a big problem, just a minor annoyance. However, for the $15 I paid for it, it lasted 2 years, which is very good.

  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
