Simple and effective. This helped change the brake pads quickly enough to be done between races (1 hour for all brakes) with hand tools (just what fits in my 370Z's tiny trunk). drain hose into the waste bottle) while spreading the powered pistons with this tool. Draining a few dollars of fluid will greatly speed up piston distribution, especially on calipers with multiple piston pairs. And, more importantly, it prevents the brake fluid reservoir from overflowing due to fluid being forced back through the lines. Make sure air is not getting back into the caliper by only opening the air vent during break-in. Then fill the reservoir with brake fluid after installing new pads and BEFORE depressing the brake pedal. If you have a vacuum bleeder, you may want to empty the reservoir first before refilling it. Get rid of the old liquid as much as possible. At this point you can either bleed the system or just top up the reservoir while pumping the brakes to push the pistons back.
